Heartfelt Creations January Alumni Blog Hop

Hello friends! It's that time again when we are hosting the Heartfelt Creations Alumni Blog Hop. As always, you will have the chance to win a $25 gift certificate to shop at Heartfelt Creations.   All you have to do is comment on each blog that is participating in the hop. Hop starts 8am EST on Friday January 26th and closes Monday January 29th, 2018 at 11:59pm EST.

I've been altering puzzle pieces to use on my journal covers.  I purchase the puzzles at thrift stores for 25 cents.  This puzzle had extra large pieces.

I took a napkin apart and stamped the images on the plain backside of the napkin.  It made it easier to place the image exactly where I wanted it.  Then I colored them with my gelatos.  I also added some dots with modeling paste and then punched a hole in the tab and added a charm.  I stamped the leaf and flower design on the tag and then die cut it.  With all these puzzle pieces I'll be making lots of these!

Edit: I'll include a picture with just an altered puzzle piece to make it easier to see

  15. I love the idea of altering puzzle pieces. How do you keep the napkins from tearing when you color them? I'm not really familiar with how you use gelatos to color images, but the results are beautiful! Do you use a paintbrush? Do you need to thin them with anything? Sorry to ask a ton of questions, but I love how this looks!
